Ariane

Ariane is a series of European launch vehicles developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and its predecessor organizations. The Ariane project was initiated to provide Europe with independent access to space, primarily for launching satellites into geostationary orbit. The development of Ariane began in the early 1970s and has since evolved through multiple versions, each improving upon its predecessor in terms of payload capacity and reliability. Ariane rockets are launched from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana.
