1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using History-timeline.net ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

History-timeline.net provides an AI-powered history timeline generation tool. Users can input a historical topic, and the Service will generate a structured timeline of events. The Service offers both free and paid usage plans.

3. User Accounts

  • You must create an account (via email or Google OAuth) to use the timeline generation features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. Free and Paid Plans

  • New accounts receive a limited number of free queries as specified on the pricing page.
  • Once free queries are exhausted, you may purchase additional query credits.
  • Purchased query credits do not expire and are non-transferable.
  • Prices are listed in US Dollars and are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect previously purchased plans.

5. Payments

  • Payments are processed securely through PayPal and/or Paddle.
  • All purchases are one-time payments (not subscriptions).
  • Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy.
  • You agree to pay all applicable taxes associated with your purchase.

6. User Content and Generated Timelines

  • Timelines generated by the Service are produced using AI and may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy of generated content.
  • By default, generated timelines are publicly visible in the Discover section. Paid users can toggle visibility in their Member Center.
  • You retain ownership of the queries you submit. We retain the right to store and display the generated timeline content.
  • You must not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, or violates the rights of others.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or payment requirements.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Share or resell your account or query credits.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, logos, and underlying technology are owned by History-timeline.net. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, History-timeline.net shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, unused query credits may be forfeited.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
